I hate speeches and don't mind either of exams or assignments however, exams get my vote since, yes they are scary but you get it over and done within a day (minus the time studying for it :)) whereas assignments take ages to do.

Assignments, because I can always do them tomorrow. :)

Even if I have to pull an all nighter, those are easier to pull off than exam cramming.

As for speeches *shudder*, phobia much?

Although for me it does depends on the class; how intimidating the peers.

Assignments, then exams, then speeches

Assignments are my fav cos you can spend as many long nights as you want making sure it's as perfect as you can make it XD Exam prep'ing just means lots of practising prior to it for me, so it's relatively easy if I'm motivated to do the practise <.<;

I'm just blatantly crap with speeches cos my voice:
- Is monotonous
- Is low but whispery at the same time >.>;

Assignments>Speeches>Exams

I prefer assignments as you have time to research and check your work. Exams are my least favourite as no matter how much you prepare you never exactly know what's in store.

Exams ftw!

I hate assignments. I mean for exams, it's easier to meet the requirements rather than for assignments you have this enormous thing you have to cover by yourself. :mad:

exams
get it over with quickly

and in assignments, everyone does so well, it's hard to differentiate people. teachers end up doing anal things to them

Assignments by far the easiest and score good marks easily. But like dp said, teachers do anal things to them. You'd wonder if any teacher holds any bias against you :guitar:

There are good and bad points for both.

eg

Exams:
  • + : Usually a little easier, since they realise that you don't have much time
  • - : Depends a lot on how you feel on the day, eg you might be nervous

Assignments:
  • + : Can prepare thoroughly without time pressure
  • - : Often have a much harder question, since you have more time

Speeches:
  • + : Easy marks for volume, gestures, pacing etc if you're good at speaking
  • - : Might be nervous speaking in front of people

Personally, though, I'd go assignments > speeches > exams. I don't know why I didn't just say that in the first place, man, those dot points were annoying to format

for junior years, since none of them really matter... Exams are the best because even if you dont do anything prior to the exam, you can still get by if you paid attention in class. You actually have to work on an assignment and prepare for your speech.
