GOOD LUCK IN CHOOSING YOUR PREFERENCES.
If you were disappointed at your choice of preferences e.g you got into a low uai course cause you wanted to go to university you might need to reconsider.

pursue your own goals and dont be attracted by the salary.
if you think you dont like your preferences change it now or it will be too late.
dont think that low paying jobs will have good prospects e.g economics at early age or commerce.
dont be persuaded by your friends to do this or do that.
just remember to pursue your own goals and be realistic.

the average lawyer only earns about 70k a year, of course the mallesons and clayton utz would earn much more after a few years but investment bankers work about 13 hrs a day and thats why they get paid so much. if u calculate it as an hourly rate its pretty average

Yea I know it's the average, but by 2nd - 3rd, she was up to 70+.

ko0l was stating that you earn 40 for law and I was just saying, IMO, that's wrong.

everyone has this image that law is really well paid, but in reality it isnt unless you're really high up which will take at least 10 yrs. so 39k is probably not too far off reality

yea lots of jobs like economics/lawyers and even doctors start off really shit pay, but when u work ur way up ranks, get experience etc u start pulling in the mega bucks.... kinda..

u'll just have to live as a pov for ur first few years after u graduate..+ dont forget ur lovely $50 000 hecs loan.
If u look at salaries for like 30-40 year olds, things like lawyer, doctor, pharmacist etc up top.

i'd say that choosing a subject because of the money is crap as well. remember if you choose something you enjoy, you need never work a day for the rest of your life :)
