Evaluate the text's reception in different context

One of the dot points in the HSC rubric is

"Evaluate the text's reception in different contexts".

Does that mean we make a judgement about the different productions we have studied.

eg.
The Harlos 2005 Production was ineffective as the Japanese style theatre and highly choreographed movements did not represent the tenacity of King Lear.

no, i dont think that part of the syllabus is referring to productions,
im pretty sure it means how the play was recieved... popular, unpopular?
what was the critics reception? was it too violent? too unrealistic?

its talking about readings/productions. The productions were all done in diff contexts.

I think what Serge said, as well as how the play has been changed to suit different historical contexts. Eg. Nahum Tate's 1681 version was changed to suit the contemporary audience of the time, which ensured it's popularity and that it was well-received.
