Is the dehydration of ethanol exothermic or endothermic? What about the hydration of ethene to make ethanol?

This is a good trick i just learnt to remember that shit
endothermic reactions are bond breaking- CaCo3 -> Ca0 + Co2
exothermic reactions are bond making- Ca0 + H20 -> Ca(0H)
