Heya everyone ^^

Erm, ok... We got this essay question in VA theory -

'Research an artist who uses/used religious theme in his/her work
How does this artist's work relfect the society in which he/she belongs?'

With half page on the arist and half on how it relfects society and relates...

So, it's only around a page essay... Really simple once I start ^^ I'm just stuck on finding an artist... I always have trouble finding artists XD Seems my searching skills are... quite bad XD That or I just get lost in results, lol

So, if anyone can suggest some artists, that would be very helpful And I thank you very much ^_^

maybe try a renaissance artist? piero della francesca would be good, alot of his works are religious and reflect society/its beliefs at the time.

Parables of the Blind by some one (look it up i cbb)

and Yasamasa Morimura (dont know if thats how you spell it sorry i havent touched any of this since November)

you can talk about Morimura taking a religious-related painting and adapting it into modern society
