This should be simple but...

Write the ionic equation of the reaction of sodium carbonate with nitric acid.

Na2CO3 + 2HNO3 -> 2NaNO3 + C02 + H20

net equation CO3(2-) + H+ -> CO2 +H20

The first equation is right, but the net ionic wuld have two moles of H+ ions....

i.e. net equation = CO3(2-) + 2H+ -> CO2 +H20

well done though :D

its good practice for the exams....
