Do you have to have a UAI to enter as a Mature age? what are the requirements for a mature age student?

Yes you can it makes it easier a bit but you dont have to have a UAI to enter as a mature age student.

you have to be 21 yrs or older on the year you are applying(by march).If you're willing to wait a few years while gaining some employment and life experience,you can sit the Special Tertiary Admissions Test(STAT).

It is a national test for mature age people designed to assess competencies, such as the ability to understand and think critically about the issues considered important for sucess in tertiary study.

when begining or returning to study, you may want to complete some bridging courses to meet pre-requisites for a course of study. Bridging courses are offered by Open Universities Australia as well as various higher education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions.
You may also benefit from completing study skills courses to improve your skills in required areas such as note taking, essay writing or preparing assignments that you will need in your chosen course of study.

So anyone can gain acceptance depending on their STAT ... can you enrol in any course as a mature age?
