well guys i missed out on a final round offer and im currently doing a certificate 4 at tafe in engineering.
would someone plz advize me if this is the right track to enrol in unsw or usyd next year depending on me getting a distinction ,or must i complete a diploma.

you must complete the diploma to enter into unsw and usyd undergraduate courses.
but you can enrol into uws engineering after 1 year of tafe studies

i think that u should call up the different uni's...but i do know that ppl. who haven't got their diploma's do transfer to uni. (provided that they got good marks at tafe). so i wouldn't worry that much.

usyd and unsw only accept a small number of tafe students per year. i would say most of them have completed diploma or adv diploma courses. uws accepts certificate students after one year of tafe study. oh and as already mentioned, you should try to aim for distinctions (do they have HD's in tafe?) in all your tafe modules do be compete for a spot.

Tafe -> Lower end uni -> good average -> Higher end uni?

Can that be a viable route?
