Can someone help me interpret this:

"Imagine a film producer has composed a documentary for a Year 11 English class studying the texts, culture and value model. The students are studying MODERN texts (i.e. 1998 - present), that have been appropriated from Pygmalion.

This documentary includes detailed discussions of a number of appropriated texts set for study..."

Does this mean I have to use the texts that we studied as a class as well as my own text? Or am I only allowed to use the texts that the class studied as a whole?

It means the texts you've studied in class. It woudl ask for additional/related material if it wanted it. Ask teacher?
