How has Heckerling used the novel Emma to say something new in Clueless?

Interesting question... it is quite open to interpretation....

I guess you could easily answer it.. about how 'this' and 'this' is different and hoow it demonstrates 'this' blah blah.... Which would be simple...

Or you could challenege it... maybe she hasnt saiid anything of importance new... maybe the closeness between Emma and Clueless demonstrates our societys lack of change; throughout time. fashion, hairstyles and language has changed but have our morals, judgements on class and importance placed on money varied? Maybe Heckerling isn't saying something new... but highlighting the lack of 'newness (for want of a better word' our our society...

Just an idea.. that is how i would write it.. not sure if it helps!
