Eminem and Dr. Dre music allegedly used in torture prison

KABUL, Afghanistan - To fans of Eminem or Dr. Dre, the idea of listening to their music non-stop for days at a time would hardly be considered torture.

But one of the detainees who was held at Guantanamo Bay last year claims his U-S captors used rap music by the two stars as part of a torture campaign.

A human rights group is out with a report detailing allegations of abuse of suspected terrorists in Cuba and Afghanistan.

One detainee says he was forced to listen to music from Eminem and Dr. Dre for 20 days.

After that, the detainee says the rap was replaced by what he calls "horrible ghost laughter" and other scary sounds.

according to abc news, it wasnt even encore, it was the slim shady lp

"They would not let you rest, day or night. Stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down. Don't sleep. Don't lie on the floor," one prisoner said through a translator. The detainees were also forced to listen to rap artist Eminem's "Slim Shady" album. The music was so foreign to them it made them frantic, sources said.

Torture in this way is commonplace and comparitively speaking pretty nice....

The aim is simply sleep deprivation and the breaking down of any resolve through the continuing interuption of sleep through typically lights, fire hoses, orders and loud music. It breaks down the prisoner and builds up the captor as an all-powerful figure.

I think it's a lot more than just sleep deprivation and a shift of power...
