I am now doing 10 units, but I simply couldn't handle the work difficulty of 4 unit maths. I got 48% in my first exam, which was first in the class, but that is still a poor mark right.

Did I make a big mistake dropping? or should I have just hung in there.

My 3 unit marks weren't too good either.

Good idea to just do 10 units?

Well if you're first in the class hten your school probably sets difficult assessment tasks, how many are in your class?

Well then I guess it depends on how smart the people in your class are, dropping 4u will give you tons more time for other subjects anyway

48% is alright, and some teachers do set crazy assessment tasks (ie turtle level).

statistics show that ppl doing 12 units consistently performed slightly better than those who studied 10 units (students were divided into groups according to their school certificate marks and compared).

they got around 25%
They must be ok to get accepted into 4u, being that far ahead of the rest of the class would give your assessment mark a pretty major boost

the teacher would then start to strongly recommend some students not to continue in the course
