hi guys,
so im going to graduate this yr and feel like getting into med as undergraduate is getting less and less likely. ive heard doing med sci (or similar ones like clinical science) to get into medicine post grad is stupid and just leads to barely any job opportunities. i was wondering if doing something like speech pathology or psychology undergrad and then trying to do med post grad is a good idea or not. i want to be a neurosurgeon and dont have any backup career options since im only interested in med. any advice?

just flicked through the thread - its extremely helpful

honestly thoughts on doing med need to weighed out rationally. there are heaps of things to consider like the amount of time, money and hours you put into. that doesnt go without saying that if you have a true dream and passion, that you should definitely chase it, yet given the competitive nature of med, it is not an easy task to do. ulitmately comes down to how much you are willing to sacrifice for it which comes from your passion for med.
