so if i have for example

(2 units) Advanced english
(2) Advanced Mathematics
(1) Mathematics Extension 1
(2) Chemistry
(2) Social Science
then i wouldn't be eligible for a distinction course?

You wouldn't be eligible for a UAI and/or HSC (not too sure about this one), let alone a distinction course :p

To do a distinction course, you must do it on top of your 10 HSC units, so you must be doing at least 10 units for your HSC to be eligible for a distinction course.

oh woops

what if i had 11 units, and i wanted to drop a 2 unit subject for a distinction course?
Is that possible?
