For part (iv) of this question, I understand the shape of the displacement-time graph in the solution, but how do you use the graph given in the question to find that the displacement at 4 and 6 seconds is 6m, as well as the displacement being 8m at five seconds?

i have not even the first clue of how you could do q-i or q-iv
i guess for q-ii its between t=4 and t=6 (theres prob some equation way to write that but i literally dunno)
and maybe for q-iii it's like, 5? because idfk its halfway between the two points????

No I meant just the basic displacement time graphs. Not this question. Dw I have no clue what any of this is. Also I think this is either ext or yr 12 adv cause I saw my friend doing something like this and it might have to do with integration but idk

But this is honestly how I feel sometimes at school cause some of my friends find some questions so easy and I’m like huh. How are we even in the same class

This is integration, so it's part of a set of year 12 adv qs, but i think this one is from ext

Oh, for sure, ext1 questions will be good practice, like if you can do the extension stuff than adv will be much easier...
But it makes me feel better that at least some elements of that question won't be in adv HSC

I think a question like this could be a higher level question in an advanced paper though since trapezoidal rule, integration and displacement/velocity time graphs are all year 12 adv topics
