Hey,

What exactly is the difference between commerce and economics?

In the online handbook, the core subjects for B Commerce differ to B Economics.

So, B Commerce:

and B Economics:

Now, what I really don't understand is... why are the core subjects for the commerce aspect of COMBINED commerce/law and economics/law the same?

Commerce/law and economics/law:

Year 1
Semester 1

Semester 2

P.S. >.<" Sorry for asking the same thing like 3 times in different ways... it's only because I'm super confused. Can someone please explain, I'd really appreciate it! :S

There's no real difference between the old BCom and old BEco degree - only just you needed to major in Economics as a major for BEco... except for recognition.

Now - BCom allows for more broader disciplines and asks students to expand from just the Accounting/Finance focus -- i.e. making Management a core.
And now BEco is more Economics focused in their core subjects.

Oh I see...

I just don't understand why the core commerce subjects for B commerce/law hasn't been revised, whereas those for B Commerce has :S
