i.e. Pygmalion the original text - NOT the 1938 movie
and My Fair Lady the 1964 movie-musical

I'm in yr11, but I got no response from that side of the forum so I'm wondering if anyone did that last yr??

Basically I'm looking for a change in the values/attitudes/beliefs... They don't contrast as blantantly as I had hoped so I'm wondering if anyone had done it and has any other ideas..

Thanks.. greatly appreciated...

Are you looking for a comparison? which we did, or are you trying to find differences ?

The first i can help you with, although the second is much more difficult.

Comparison, remember doesnt just mean whats different, but also compare and find similarities as well as differences.

for changing values, id say the medium presented, from book to film.

re-watch 'with a little bit of luck'...
and notice the feminists marching in the background...
and the fact that when eliza has learnt (she is 'free' from her origins) she is wearing green, white and purple (feminist colours)

i'll pm you my shoddy essay... it's TRULY terrible, i apologise, don't copy from it if you want good marks... but the main ideas are there if you wanna read them in dot points...

thanks for the offers but I've done it. Ended up doing Pygmalion the play & She's All That the movie. The contrast was so much clearer etc... so it worked for the better.. Went quite well

thanks anyway
appreciate it
