for those who do crime or speculative fiction, how are you finding it? what's good and bad? what are texts are you studying? are the books you're reading/read good?

we're stuck between the two and i don't know which will be more interesting. the books for speculative i've never heard of but Dune, which is pretty thick. and my teacher isnt too fond of it.

any suggestions?

I'm doing Speculative fiction, and it wasn't my choice. The unit has its postives and negatives. The Handmaid's Tale (M. Atwood) is excellent. If you're enthusiastic and like Sci Fi Fantasy genre then do Spec Fic. But if you don't, you might struggle getting through texts.
I'm also doing "In the Wild" in my advanced english comparative study and I found that both units tie in nicely.
