I read another thread stating USYD science faculty doesn't offer concessional passes, is this true?

If so, does anyone have any advice for me - it looks like I'm going to fail the same junior math unit I failed last year. It's possible I may pass but just barely. The problem is I have a very poor background in math (didn't do maths for HSC, and went poorly in junior high maths), and although I've tried to catch up, it's proved difficult. I am only doing this last math unit because it's a requirement of a science degree to do 12 CP in maths units. Honestly I've tried hard, not just in maths but my whole degree, receiving mainly distinctions and high credits so it's not like I'm a lazy student either sitting on a pass average.

Also I did hire a private tutor to help me, but again, my poor background in maths really hindered me and I couldn't get much out of the tutoring sessions.

So if I fail am I just gonna have to keep trying, or is there any way around this? The unit is MATH1004. I don't know if there are 'easier' units but I picked it initially because I was going to do another unit which required MATH1004. I decided not to do that unit, but I picked MATH1004 again since I already did it before.

Thanks..

edit - in case it isn't clear, this is the second time I've taken MATH1004. I'm in my second year.
