Hey all - just wondering who was aiming for combined law and how people went.

I got 99.35 so does anyone know if the cutoff ever comes down?

i think it stays at 99.6 every year cause there is so much demand for it. a couple of my friends got over 99.60 and are wanting combined law at this stage

I'm definately doing Combined Law, but I'm still considering between UNSW and USyd. Even though I only got 99.5, chances are I'll still be able to make it into USyd since I got the Broadway Scheme (last year's cutoff for people under this was 98.45).

It's unlikely to come down, unless the bulk of 99.6+ 04-ers suddently decide to switch to UNSW Law or Med instead. :p

My guess it'll got up to 99.65 (as a guess).

So, fee paying, or just do the other half of your combined and try to transfer in (You need an average of about 90 for a GOOD chance)

im not sure that it would go up. its already very hard to get into as it is and i sincerly doubt all 300 (something like that) people above 99.60 are going to apply for law at usyd. i think it is either going to drop by 0.05 or stay the same for years

How many people does USyd law accept anyway?

Oh and I came nowhere near the cutoff, but I was never interested anyway:p

Last year usyd law accepted about 160 school leavers, I don't know if they're cutting any places this year

Total ~240 1st year places, about 160 open to school leavers, rest all transfers and whatnot

160 school leavers? Just HECS places? Or including EAS and international and local fee paying places as well?

Hmm well that means that the cutoff will never go higher than about 99.80
