i wanna be a jewellery designer so a design course is what im looking for.

so far cofa is my top priority but i was just wondering which uni had a better reputation for design? and uts has a design course but not for objects. HOw comeeeeeee =[[.

well you can do jewellery as your major at cofa if you do a b.fine arts, except from what i've heard (i never actually took jewellery when i was there) it's all metal and experimental stuff...in fact i don't even think i ever saw anything the jewellery majors produced...go to the final exhibition at the end of i think this month and find out! and that's about all i know...

Design at COFA is probably your best pick for Jewellery...

"Reputation" isn't really that big a factor in Object design - If your Jewellery is good; people will be interested in you!!

I concur. CoFA is your best option. I do see some people who make jewellery at CoFA, but not many. Some set up stalls and sell their products during the Spring Fair every September.

There's also a Short Course on it, I think. Please check the CoFA website for concrete details.
