The shortlist is created because:

* some people go for the scholarship as a second preference, and hence decline
* some people do not get the required UAI for the scholarship, and hence decline
* some people are able to receive multiple scholarships and choose another one, and hence decline

So just sit tight :) Chances are if you really really want to do that course at UNSW then it'll be on your preferences list anyway, so slim chance of not getting into the course (if not the scholarship)

depends on the coop course. shortlisted people for bit will most probably get an offer.

Meyero,

Congrats on getting Actuarial Co-op!
You must have rocked in the interview, Hope to see u next year.
(I'm the lost dude that helped with the interviews btw =P)

Joo,

Just a few words about being on the shortlist. In my year about 30 people were shortlisted. 2 got accepted. BUT, if u do decide to enrol in actuarial studies at UNSW, they'll keep the shortlist so u'd be preferenced should any existing coops drop out (and trust me, they DO drop out). So, it's kinda ur call. on average about 2 coops drop out per year, and if they do drop, u'd have a good shot at the coop, since they keep the shortlist.

Hope this helps
