Hey guys, i have an assessment coming up and its to discuss the limitations on the models of: ionic latitices, covalent molecules and covalent and metallic lattices.

im having a little trouble finding information on the limitations, i have a little bit...

but any suggestions/help...?

i done a question exactly the same for this in my assignment.

- they're theories and not facts
- models are based on incomplete or incorret information
- they do not provide the actual shape of the model (covalent molecules)
- some models do not provide info to the length of the bonds or relative sizes of the atoms in the molecule
- models are simplifications to get the main idea across

there are like loads more, we had a whole chapter on that so like yeahh .. hope it helps

The model of a metallic lattice doesn't show the movement of a sea of electrons around the ions.
