Thinking about maybe doing an Honours year if I don't want to kill myself too badly by the time my degree is finished. Anyone have any idea what happens to your Youth Allowance during an Honours yr? They still pay you or do you have to make your own way?

Can't find any info about it on their website. Got an appointment early next week to go sort something else out so I might ask then - but in my experience the staff I've met with were somewhat clueless about anything beyond their immediate duties

Anyone know anything? Cheers for any help.

Yeah, I'm doing honours this year and I'm getting Centrelink, its just undergraduate study to them. If you get any scholarships that can affect it, so you have to let them know, but that's about all.

I believe with the changes that they made with Centrelink you can now do up to Masters with support. Definately can do Honours. Make sure you don't go over the time limit for the original degree, I don't think they like that.
