I’m in my 2nd year of Advanced Science, majoring in Pathology at UNSW. I’m really set on doing pathology out of interest in the subject. I know I can’t be a fully qualified pathologist without becoming a doctor, and I can’t get the marks to get into med school, so being an actual pathologist is out of the question
Some of my peers who are doing the same degree and major (and also don’t wanna do post-grad med) are going into research, and others are planning on doing epidemiology.Which sounds ok, though statistics aren’t too thrilling to me. So I was wondering, are there any options other than research, teaching and epidemiology? Or should I just forfeit and switch majors?
