i cant seem to access the my results and on the example provided by boardofstudies it shows the student number as a 9 digit number. i was always under the impression my student number was the 8 digit number i used in the exams.. whats going on?

yeh, its an 8 number student number - i logged in fine using it...
Try looking here Instructions - 2009 HSC Results - Board of Studies NSW it's got a phone number you can call & its not too late to get your results via. sms & maybe try the other website... hope this helps

The student number is the thing you wrote on every exam.
The access pin IS NOT the 4 digit number where you had to peal off the plastic cover.
It's a different pin which was mailed by BOS. I have a letter from 29th April 2009 and i think we got a more recent one. If you've kept all these letters, just search through them.
