I was wondering if I did the second part of paper 1 (creative writing), if it requests a narrative, will I get marked down if I write my narrative in the form of poetry?

you'd probably be best of talking to your teacher about that. HSC has strict guidlines so it's possible that the marker might think you don't understand the meaning of narrative and mark you down for not following the text type.

NO!... No poems are allowed, they specify this on the actual exam paper - it is very rare if at all, you would be allowed to do a poem. So yeah, you will get marked down if you do a poem, and it specifies a narrative.

All my teachers have told us "NEVER DO POETRY!!!!!!!!!!!!" over and over in very strict terms. So no. No matter how good you think your poem is it's probably shit - just like all this gothic kids. So no.
