Can someone give me a reason as to why the UAI for Aeronautical(space) is so high? (1 Viewer)

From what I've seen, the UAC book says that Aerospace with Astronautics has only an 88 UAI requirement....

Just looking in to different engineering degrees at different unis and just windering why there is such a major anomaly...

coz there are only 10 or so places

this scenario may of taken place.... the astronautics may of had all 9 students with UAI of 99, then the 10th person had a UAI of 88.

whereas the aerospace may of had students with 97,96,96,96,96 ....95 - leaving a cut off of say 95.

thats the way it goes sometimes, especially when there are only a few places, anomolies like these can occur. you can't judge a course by the uai cutt-off. though most people do.

eitherway, you could always transfer between one major another especially at sydney, and not add time onto your degree.

15 places for aerospace, pretty much everyone who applies for aeronautical applies for that as well hence top 10 get it leaving a cut-off of 99.55 or so. But people get in with 99.00 with a combined degree by just speaking with the 1st year guy and then drop the second degree.
