Recently I have been thinking of what i want to do when i graduate and I keep changing my mind. I am somewhat thinking of doing medicine or allied health after school but don’t have bio or chem in my subjects. Is it still possible to pursue a degree in this field without these subjects. I could always take bridging courses right? If not i was thinking of doing a late switch to chem or even bio but this would be extremely hard with catch up+ the teacher doesn’t seem to want me in the class.
Currently I do
- Physics
- Economics
- Earth and Environmental Science
- Math extension 1
- English Advanced
- Modern ( gonna drop this for yr 12)

It honestly depends on what field in allied health; nutrition and dietetics, optom, pharmacy, Physio etc. Generally, you can get into the courses without doing bio and chem in HSC, however it may a bit of a struggle in terms of content.

I reckon you will be fine. Most unis are only assumed knowledge which you can 100% do bridging courses for. If you want to make sure, go onto the uni course's website and it will say if its necessary or not.
