yeh same, its better priced than fitness first which is like 60-80/month. and i wanna check out their taekwondo club as well, should be cool.

The Gym sounds kick ass.
They have a Full Olympic Barbell set! Do you know How RARE that is?!
Big Fear Though: They have no idea what they are talking about. Many gyms don't; let alone the 'trainers'.
They better mean:
- Olympic Bar, with appropriate knurling
- Allow CHALK . [I doubt it]
- Maybe a platform [Doubtful, But not nessessary if have the following]
- Bumper Plates. Can't O Lift without them, Would be impressed if they had them. Cost your arms and your legs, and few other body parts from some bystanders. Expensive stuff.
Tae Kwon Do:
Looks interesting...
Probably the only club i'd join if i'd join any. Simply for the fact that i did TKD for 5+ years. But have had a 2-3 year lay off... Would be interesting to see if i culd pick it up. Like riding a bike, eh?
if your interested in it, it is fun. Lotsa 'jumpy-spin-wacko-thunder-cresant-flyswatter-mega-kicks' and that jazz. Almost like acrobatics. If you want self-defence... give it another thought. Its a Martial SPORT, not Martial ART. Little practicality. [Fun though !]

I can't go to the Campus Tour because of work. Does it matter much if i miss out on going?
I will be going to orientation though on the 20th of February, or is that the same as the campus tour?

I'm not oing on one... Should be fine.
It is Just a Building + Just find out your class locations + Times, and during your first week take your own private tour.

P.S: Not sure i'f i'll go into it. Did it HIGHLY copetativly when i was very young. Stopped because my school wouldn't let me compete [I had to play sport for the school ]. Jumped back in around year 10/11, but eventually pulled out.
Might see you there. Yeah, Comps are fun.

Hey, ill be going on the 21st of Feb 1pm as well. I already went to the campus ato see the business and law (haymarket) campus, and i have to say i was dissapointed.
Also i've done tae-kwon-do as well, first dan black belt i am. See all of you at the orientation and tour then!

Yeah - We've just got to hope they will let pre-holding ranks stay. As in; not make us begin from white again. [Though... Would give us some unfair advantages ]
Oh, Im 1st-Dan myself. My Brother and Father who continued over the last few years are 3-dans...
Alot of talk about TKD... We might have to start our own thread.

awesome! im 1st dan as well but i learn under master kim myung man with hwa rang do taekwondo academy. so when/where do we sign up for the taekwondo thing? cos the website said that classes and new students have started already.
the business/law building was bad was it? what was disappointing about it?
oh and btw if anyone sees a lost indian dude about 5'8" walking around on o-week or 1stfeb or 21st feb, then thats me.

I went to the advisory day - and i was impressed!
My Last college was "Macleay College" up near Hyde park... We had 1 class room for the entire year. And thats ALL the college did - In the sense that; the concept of a sports team, clubs, socialising AT ALL was not really covered!
Can't wait to get the UTS.
