in the hsc what do you think it's the best way to represent a buffer system in the human body

H2CO3(aq) + H2O(l) <---> H3O+ (aq) + HCO3–(aq)

or the full

Co2(g) <--> Co2(aq) <--> H2Co3 <--> H+ + HCo3-

I think the second one, separated into full steps

CO2 (g) enters the bloodstream
It binds to water, forming carbonic acid H2CO3 etc
