Proof:
(1+x)<sup>n</sup>(1+1/x)<sup>n</sup> =1/x<sup>n</sup> (1+x)<sup>2n</sup>

LHS = (1+x)^n * (1+1/x)^n
= ((1+x)(1 + 1/x))^n
= (1 + 1/x + x + 1)^n
= (x + 2 + 1/x)^n
= 1/x^n * (x^2 + 2x + 1)^n
= 1/x^n * ((x+1)^2)^n
= 1/x^n * (x+1)^2n
= RHS
