Couldn't find any threads on this and I heard it was an issue in last years paper.
Can anyone tell me how bicomponent yarns enhance performance?

bicomponent yarns are synthetic and have 2 polymers in one filament. Combining the polymers allows for more yarn characteristics eg, crimp effect

biocomponant yarns also enhance performance because they are light weight,comfortable,soft/smooth, they cover 20percent more of the fabric.......used commonly in knit wear!
Goodluck everyone for the exam!!!

The bicomponent yarn is made up from a first component and a second component each comprised of a fiber-forming polymer and each having different shrinkages from the other to effectuate a bulking effect.
