in my opinion surfing books are good, and also those summaries that are published by edassist...my teacher actually wrote one of those books. :D

If you want to suceed buy a combo of books. I got:
pathways
conquering chem
excel
macquarie
and i might be getting surfing, but I dunno. And yes youre own notes should be your main resource

mate how can u put shit books like excel chemistry alongside books such as conquering chem? :D

The only way to ensure u are studying the correct material is to study your own notes. Make flash cards at the end of each studied topic and ensure to revise all assessment tasks and class content at regualr intervals. U can't go wrong if u know the content

A little warning.

Don't entirely trust the SuccessOne's band 6 responses. Some are really crap that aren't even worth band 3. But some are pretty good responses too.

No-one has mentioned the Charles Stuart website - HSC online - is there anything wrong with it? It covers all the dotpoints - including the practicals (unlike Conquering Chemistry:rolleyes: ) and most importantly of all is FREE:D

btw I found the edassist summaries to be helpful especially with the study cards - and having full solutions for the short/long answer questions - which seem superior to success one responses IMAO.

Excel is totally useless. I recommend Chemistry Contexts, however, the really really old edition of Conquering Chem is quite good, but it doesn't follow the syllabus!
