Ok so with the four types of historians - classical, relativist, empirical, postmodernist - where does Bede fit in?

Usually students use historians from those 4 main categories. But there are more types of historians not listed. I.e. Where do the annals school come in? Bede, as *10# has stated, is a christian historian. He comes before the emperical period (Ranke) and after the Classical period (Herodotus).

Bede can be called a 'medievalist' (his dates c.672-735) He believed history accurately explained Gods plan. His history was not objective because he explained the past with an overarching theory in order to promote the Christian faith.
