anyone done or doing this course. Whats the work load/demand placed upon students
Average contact hours for the week will be approximately 15 hours - dpending on the units you do.

The amount of readings will vary. Commerce related subjects usually will require you to read 30 pages per subject or so (again depending on the subject). These readings usually canvass key principles such as formulae, accounting methods, statistics, mathematics etc. Usually there are problem questions for you to practice on - they vary from 6 hypothetical/accounting problems to a dozen or two mathematical problems.

For law, the readings can be overwhelming. I think they have changed the unit/program structure. Expect 50-60 pages of readings per subject - sometimes more, sometimes less. These readings are usually case law (judgments), commentary from scholars and journal articles on certain legal issues.

With regards to study time, its completely up to you. If you want to do average, - just stick to the lectures and do the problem questions in class. If you want to do great, then readings are essential as well as doing problem questions before class, engaging in class discussions and smart independent research. Every student is different, some people fluke it, some people work hard to only get a mediocre grade.

Bear in mind that the subjects you do for law are the same subjects that each law school in NSW must adhere to ( except a few such as jurisprudence and the new community ones). You learn the same contract law principles, constitutional principles, property law etc.
