can someone tell me the chances of getting into b.science at UNSW?

b.science cut off for 2003 was 80.20 and my UAI is like .30 away from 80. Do you think I've got any chance?

I put down UTS as my first option coz its requirement is a bit lower... do u think I should hold my breath for the course at UNSW??

need advice!

How much do you reckon Science will increase?

I got 84.65 and I'm still feeling scared I won't be able to get into Science @ UNSW....

Mainly because it made a huge jump from 2002 t0 2003.

Psycho Mushy, you should still put down UNSW B.Science as first preference. Even if you don't get it, it won't affect your chances of getting into UTS B.Science, so definitely leave UNSW at number 1 if you prefer it.

Ragerunner, that jump was around 8 points wasn't it? (I promise I'm not trying to rub in your fear :p )

That mega jump should probably prevent a similar one this year, since (I think) applicant numbers are levelling out. Don't correct me. :)

It's slightly unnerving considering when I got accepted into B Science in 2002 the cutoff only went from 70 to 72 ..

Definitely not. It is certain to get higher, only the amount by which it increases is expected to be smaller.

hey guys, this is about b science at newcastle, but its the same sorta question
in 2003 the cutoff was 70.10 (i think, 70.xx pretty sure it was .10)
my UAI was 73.30
because im a local student i get for extra points taking my UAI to 77.30
i think its pretty likely i will get in, but am i just deluding myself? can you see the cutoff for b.sc at newy skyrocketing?

Really depends on the demand on the course, as it does with every year and degree, I guess.
