B Business B Science in IT core subjects and majors (1 Viewer)

Hi,

It says in the UTS handbook that it is a requirement to complete 8 core subjects before commencing your major. By 'complete' does it mean you have to have PASSed all the subjects, or just that you did them. I am in a situation now where I have failed one of my business core subjects, and unsure as to whether I will be allowed to select my major for next year. I called up the student centre and they said I MUST PASS all the core subjects, yet the enrollment option allows me to select the major for next yr.

Any assistance on this would be much appreciated,

I believe they want you to complete all of your business cores before you undertake a business major, but this seems to not be enforced.

The only thing you should be worried about are the prerequisites within the major subjects.. which major are you planning on doing?

I know people who leave some cores like marketing to the last year because it was not required for their accounting or finance major.
