With ATi's new X1800 series' release date still looming, there's already been talk of the R580.

NVIDIA have also confirmed their G72 core, which will be an update to the current-gen 7800 GTX and will be made on a 90 nm process. Get this: it's claimed that NVIDIA will be offering SLI support on the one card thanks to the smaller fabrication process.
