I attended the USyd Open day yesterday, and got the prospectus for education and was looking at the 'Assumed knowledge/Requirements'. It stated basically that:

'2 units of maths and 2 units of english - Bridging courses offered.'

I was under the assumption that if they say 2 units of maths, they actually mean the 2 Unit course and not the General Mathematics course.

But then I checked my UAC Guide and it reads:

'Any two units of mathematics and any two units of English at the HSC'

I take that 'Any' means General as well?

I should have asked this there but I only have just come to that realisation now, any help there? Please?

If you teach you would need to understand basic mathematics (for when assessment time and reporting comes around). But so far I haven't come across any in the course.

English because you need to know how to write.
