I was wondering if there is a specific way to write an assess question (since the verb is to make a judgement based on value, quality etc. So is there sort of a plan with steps that you should follow in your response?

Any help is appreciated :D

Generally, the structure I made for 'Assess' questions was basically a 'Discuss' question with a judgement.

Let's say it's a 5 marker assess question. I would do:
Small introductory line/paragraph.
Advantages (at least 2)
Disadvantages (at least 2)
Judgement (like a conclusion)
There are always other details that you need to include in between that isn't necessarily an advantage or a disadvantage such as chemical equations (for science), examples (acid rain is caused by nitrogen and sulfur oxides) etc.
