hey guys,

i need some help with these questions. (please show some working out):

1. John borrows $28,000 to buy a house and undertake to repay it at $350 per month. Interest is compounded monthly on the balance owing at the rate of 12% per annum.
a) How much does he owe after 12 repayments?
b) Calculate the minimum number of repayments required to clear the debt.

2. A force is applied to a particle which is moving in a straight lone. Each second it moves only a half the distance of the preceding second, If the particle moves 10cm in the first second, how far will it move before coming to rest?

3. Find the values of x for which the curve y = 2x^3 - 3x^2 - 12x +6 rises with downward concavity.

i have no idea how to use that, i just copied tomykins

When you use LaTeX, you need to put dollar signs around the stuff that is meant to be in maths mode. Otherwise it will all end up in italics with no spaces in between
