I tried downloading macromedia flash for mac but the download like didn't work?!?! like the icon that I normally drag to my applications folder didn't show up - BUT - a browser opened saying the installation was successful. But my browser still crashes when I click on anyone on Hi5 with a multimedia thing!!! can anyone help?

I can't check even like check their profile - like AT ALL - it just stuffs up

yea and I'm running on a Powerbook G4 (if that makes ne difference)

What about trying a different browser? Firefox or Camino. Safari might have some issues in rendering the pages.

I actually use Firefox primarily, but I did try out Safari as well - same thing happened.

But I've never heard of the other one, Camino ...

Camino uses the same rendering engine as firefox. So it shouldn't make much of a difference.

I guess maybe give opera browser a try...? www.opera.com

Dunno... that problem sounds like more a problem with flash than the browser. Maybe try reinstalling the flash plugin.

that's the thing I'm pretty sure it is a problem with flash ... coz I'm pretty clueless when it comes to flash stuff .... so I have no idea what multimedia programs I have installed/ which ones I actually need! as mentioned when trying to install macromedia flash player 8 or sumthin like that - i dont think it worked

Yea; try different browsers. Avaliable broswers out there are:

-> FF
-> Camino
-> Opera
-> IE (ahhhh not ie :p)
-> SeaMonkey
-> Others small ones (see macupdate.com)

Try installing the latest updates from Software Updates as well :)
