its one thing to get a coles myer interview and get through and its another thing to be offered a place. i know several people who got the message saying they'd passed the interview (including meeeeeeee!!!!!!) and had reached the "next stage of the recruitment process" and still havnt been offered a job a month later... it's a waiting game

mines on tomorrow as well, just went to parra today to find the place. i asked this dude where it was and he says he didnt know, go in and ask the sceurity guy, then as i go in he yells to me 'hey mate! the building is on the other side, i just glanced at it as you walked off"

i applied like just after i finished uni, like in november. taken a long itme. i didnt check my email for christmas casuals so when i got it, i was too late to get an interview. i applied for the pt/casual interest thingyafter that.

what sucks is what Jawjayo says. ive been reading the thread below this one on cloesmyer as well and so many ppl still havent been called and stuff. i wonder why they look for new ppl when they still have others on file?

outlook: seems likely that i will be sent a rejection letter.
i wasnt too vocal but i had some points of mine heard. introduction was ok, but i wasnt very good at the which retailer sells what thingy.
questions: 5 things seen by a worker, which should worker prioritise. i.e. shoplifter, truck driver asking for help etcf.
confectionary and how to merchandise 9display things0 to consumers.
tell me about your outlook whoever did the interview.

yeah, they REALLY want people who basically can do 5 days a week. At my interview, the coordinator dude seemed to really like me, but then he asked my available times and im a full-time uni student.. so that seemed to put him off. sucks. they shouldn't have wasted my time if they knew they don't have any part time/casual positions available..

i so agree. they seem to be streaming through heaps of us uni students. whats the point of asking all those questions online about what u can do and where u can work unless they're actually going to consider them. mite as well knock ppl back there and then if they rnt any jobs going. good luck to u guys all the same

I got that email last year saying that i'd advanced to the next stage and 6 months later i still haven't heard anything. I even emailed them to ask if my application was still being considered.. and still no reply.
I was so annoyed, they could have emailed to tell me i didn't get it! instead of juz leaving me waiting!

You're better off applying for specialist positions....like I just applied for cosmetics at Myer and it seems like I will get it.

I have to do a group interview on Tuesday.... I don't understand why they make you do the group interviews again if you have already passed it once.... I mean, it should be even easier to get through the second time!

I decided to just ignore the request for group interview once I couldn't find a position open for a couple weeks. I don't care, all I ever hear is how shit they are anyway.

I just applied there in case I got offered something soon after the group interview.... last time I applied for something there, it took them about a month to offer me something, and I had already found something much much better! Hoping that I find something better again... and soon!!!!!
