Hi

Just started my 2006 HSC course and i have an assessment for physics due in.
Its an open ended investigation on space and gravity.

What i have to do is plan and perform a first hand investigation to collect data and report on some aspect relating to the concept of gravity. Therefore it can be on an apsect related to pendulum motion, weight spring motion (in the vertical plane) or projectile motion.

The project must eb an experiment investigation whereby i have to wreite a report at the end reporting on my findings.

Anyway...the problem is not the report or anything because i've done many of these but i need some sort of experiment to do.

I'm thinking getting a peice of MDF and rolling a ball down it whilst changing it's angle and then timing it to see differences.
Anyway alot of people are doing this one so i want to do something different.

Do anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

If you have the Jacaranda Physics book, there's a pendulum experiment in there.

The pendulum experiment is quite accurate and very reliable.

Chances are, if you have an assesment requiring you to find the value of 'g,' it will be based on the pendulum one.
