My textbook reckons that adding silver nitrate with with dilute nitric acid to a solution containing sulfate or phosphate won't cause a precipitate. 1692576842716.png
How does this work if Ag3PO4 and Ag2SO4 are both so insoluble? Is it some interaction with the acid?

consider what so4(2-) and po4(3-) are (think back to mod 6 acid base theory)
if u add acid into the solution what do u think happens?

They grab H+ and turn into their acid counterparts? This doesn't solve the issue when you add the silver nitrate first? Pls tell me I am silly
