QUESTION:
WRITE THE BALANCED EQUATION OF THE CHEMICAL REACTION BETWEEN:
ALUMINIUM OXIDE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE & WATER

I know that the equation is:
Al2O3 + NaOH + H2O ---->
Though I don't know what it equals.
How do you find what the products of the reaction is?
And what are they?

Cheers,

Aluminum hydroxide and sodium oxide I think. I don't think water actually gets used in the equation, just the medium in which it occurs? So water would also just be on the products side.

Note that this isn't the only correct answer. Depending on factors such as NaOH concentration and temperature, you can end up with different products.
