in the cyclohexene/BrOH reaction, i thought the the reaction was C6H10+BrOH -> C6H10BrOH, but everywhere I have read is saying it is C6H10+Br2 -> C6H10Br2. which one is correct? because if mine isnt, where does the OH ion go?

its definitely the C6H12 + Br2 one, plus its cylochexene, so its C6H12 not H10

both are correct. The one you do is more correct but the HSC accept both

hexene is C6H12

If we do structural formulas, do we still have to write the state symbols or no?
