Ideally this will be an informed discussion on the impact Speer had on German history in the NAZI 'era'. Hopefully at the end it will be of benefit to everyone.

Who was Albert Speer?
He may have escaped a death sentence, but his role in using forced labour during the latter stages of the war cannot be disputed. I have no doubts that he had a thorough knowledge of what was going on in regards to the 'camps' that littered the polish countryside.

Maybe he was (just) an effective technocrat who felt like turning a blind eye to the atrocities, or maybe he was as evil as Hitler and or Himmler. Besides this, noone can dispute he had a significant impact on the NAZIs, he probably prolonged the war for the NAZIs through his efficencies as minister for armaments. Although Hitlers germania was way too ambitious, you all have to admit it would have been hugely symbolic capital for the reich. As the impressions of it will attest, a beautiful city it would have been.

Opinions please people!
