So I lowkey bombed Advanced this year, I fear, and I'm trying to get above 90 for my atar. I did horrific in trials, scoring a 57/100, and I have my advanced HSC next week. Even if I score possibly an 80 or above in the HSC (which is very much unlikely), would my trial mark significantly affect the mark? And if so, am I actually stuffed and can't save my atar mark?

I reckon 50% of my internal assessments were above 90%, while the other 50% of my internal assessments were between 57-60%

How is your ranking? because that might save your mark if it’s not horrifically low and your peers are trusted to do well.

My overall rank for the course is 4th, but it's out of 31 people
Well if the marks for the people below you or behind you are similar then you would need to work really hard and reach a high raw mark. But i'm assuming you are doing accelerated due to your profile indicating your hsc is in 2026, so you should (?) be fine.

if ur not satisfied with ur math mark in december u can maybe pick up another 2 units now, thats if you're not already doing 10 units for year 12

that way, ur math mark doesnt need to be accounted for ur atar

76/100 is quite literally a band 6 bro.

If you are currently in Yr 11 and accelerated in maths stream, would your school allow you to repeat Adv maths?
If you sit either Adv maths or MEx2 next year, your Adv maths mark from this year will be superseded (edited).

It wont be erased. UAC said that they keep it on your record, it just wont count.

It's important since you can get 5 points from a band 6 in advanced (so easy)
